MEET INFORMATION
HOME MEETS - VOLUNTEER JOBS
Because Pool Sharks is a volunteer organization, we ask that all families volunteers at home
meets.  Please click on link above to find out about volunteer jobs. Parent volunteers are
essential to making home meets run smoothly.  Our volunteerism also shows our swimmers the
importance of giving back and how much we care!

PARENTS PLEASE NOTE:
  • IT TAKES 250 MAN HOURS TO RUN A MEET...All swimmer's families are required to
VOLUNTEER at home meets. Sign-up sheets are posted at the out-door pool.
    Training will be provided!

  • Swimmers and parents are asked to assist in cleaning up their areas prior to
departure from home and away meets.  Meets are usually over by 12:00 Noon.

  • Parents please remember that you are responsible for your children's behavior at
all meets (CODE OF CONDUCT).  Please periodically monitor and find out what
your child/children are doing when they are not swimming - Thanks!
AWAY MEET
  • All away meets are held at outdoor pools.
  • Indoor facilities used only under inclement weather conditions.
  • Premium deck space is generally limited, so swim teams are assigned to a specific area
    outside the pool.
  • Swimmers assigned area is always outdoors and on the ground.
  • Spectators may want to bring chairs, blankets, etc., as seating for spectators is also limited.

Swimmers are required to ride the Team buses to away meets.  Time for departure from the
Sauk Prairie Aquatic Facility is posted on the web site and bulletin board for each away meet.

A change from previous years is that we
WILL NOT BE PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION HOME
- Please make arrangements for your swimmers.
CONFERENCE MEET
  • The Conference Meet is the grand finale!  It is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday
    following the last meet.
  • The meet venue is generally at the Indoor Pool at the Middle School in Baraboo.
  • It is a long, tiring weekend, but an exciting way to end the season.
  • Swimmers will be selected for the Conference meet based on COMPETITIVE TIMES.
Accordingly, the most competitive team will be assembled.
  • Each team is allowed a maximum of 3 swimmers per event.
  • There are no exhibition events at Conference.
  • Participation is not mandatory, but to be eligible to swim at conference, the swimmer must
be available both Saturday and Sunday.
  • Information about the conference meet will be given in early July.
WHAT TO EAT
  • All meets offer food services and concessions.
  • Swimmers should not, however, consume food or drink during the 45 minutes to 1 hour
    before a swimming event.

greasy foods, junk food, carbonated drinks and milk.
